It barely seems like summer has graced our shores, before the chilly autumn morning and darker night are upon us.
But whilst we may lament the passing of yet another British ‘summer’, there is something to look forward to – autumn and winter hair trends, oh, and pumpkin spiced lattes!
One of my stylist Lewis Parker, has done his research, so you don’t have to. Here’s what you may find yourself asking for on your trip to the salon in the next few months.
A twist on the classic bob
The bob never really dates, it simply evolves each season to incorporate each seasonal trend. This means that this autumn bobs will enjoy a trend update by adding a new fringe and/or opting for one if the season’s most popular colours, rich browns and honey tones.
Cut wise, we’re thinking blunt at mid-length but if that’s not for you, add in movement with longer layers and sharp ends.
On the fringe
Fringes will continue to be popular this season, carrying on from their popularity we have seen in recent months. This season we’ll be seeing so many approaches to working a fringe into everything from classic bobs to long hair styles. Whether it’s wispy or blunt, face framing layers or full and blunt cut, adding movement and shape to the fringe can transform your entire look.
Short and sweet
One of the top trends that we’re seeing emerging in autumn winter 2024 fashion is shorter hair styles and it’s a great season to give it a go as you’ve got plenty of time to grow it back for summer up do’s.
The Pixie is timeless and stylish but if that might be too much of change, look at the hybrid hairstyle of a cross between a crop and a bob which looks super sharp, has lots of layers for movement and texture to keep it looking super stylish. Just remember, to keep shorter hair looking en-pointe, regular trims will be required.
Mid-length masterpiece
Love your mid-length hair but want a little seasonal update? Embrace the fringe and colour trend to update you style and remember mid-length hair can take on so many different colours and cutting techniques to add texture, volume and shape. We can see the infamous ‘Rachel’ making a return to a salon near you this season!
In addition to the trends predicted by and seen on the catwalks our team also work closely with our product and colour partners to ensure we have everything our clients could want. And our experienced team keep up to date with all the latest trends, techniques and styles so we deliver the best possible service for everyone who chooses us as their preferred hair salon.
So, when those autumn and winter blues start to kick in, simply book an appointment with us and we’ll help you get your hair, right on trend!
Can’t wait to see you
Love Lewis
