I just love a new year don’t you, and whilst I took a break from the salon early in 2023, it made me think of what new things we might see our customers asking for this year.
Whilst hair is a very personal choice, there are always trends that filter through, especially for those who like to follow those trends and give them a try!
So here are my top predictions, but let’s see!
70’s comeback
I think there will be an even bigger appetite for the 70’s trends that we had already seen in 2022. I’m thinking mullets, the oh-so glamorous shag, big bouncy blow outs and flicked fringes just like Charlie’s Angels. It was the decade of ultimate texture and sass via our hair and I’m certainly ready to embrace that trend again!
Taking the chop
Long hair has been hugely popular in the last couple of years. When people couldn’t visit the salons, many people grew their hair and decided to keep the length when we did re-open. But now, people are generally getting ready for a change, and we’ve seen a definite increase in short hair. With sharp bobs, face framing pixies and the 90’s ‘bixie’ or ‘mixie’ – a hybrid of a bob and a pixie – all moving hugely popular we’ll be looking forward to some sharp and stylish cutting techniques to achieve these looks for you.
Colour creations
The use of colour on hair can make such a difference and our team have decades of experience between them. With such stunning cuts being showcased in the trends of 2023, we think they can only be made better with creative use of colour. For us it will be all about the gloss, the sophistication and the shine.
Whether you’re wanting to embrace those trends or simple fancy a new style or colour for 2023 just get in touch with our team.
You can book online or if you’ve got any question, whether you’re an existing customer or visiting us for the first time, just give the salon a ring and one of our friendly team will be help.
Looking forward to seeing you.
Love Rebecca
