It’s been a whirlwind these last couple of weeks; turning forty and discovering that I was a finalist in the North Eastern Hairdresser of the Year category at the British Hairdressing Awards!
I’ve created a brand-new collection for 2021 – The Marcella Collection – created with ‘light’ in mind and showcasing clean lines, strong structures and shots of colour.
Capturing the timeless warrior spirit of women the collection creates a feeling of justice, faith and embraces the power of hope showcasing women breaking through the warlike times we have all endured with beauty and grace.
It’s another set of images that I am incredibly proud of, and it follows hot on the heels of last year’s collection that garnered worldwide accolades, Valentina.
The awards are judged anonymously by over 100 leading hairdressers, and I was delighted to selected as one of just six finalists for the region. After submitting four photographic images, I’m now required to submit two further images for the final round of judging.
Sincere thanks go to all the models that worked with me to create such amazing styles and fluidity, highlighting how hair has the power to tell a very personal story.
Sponsored by Schwarzkopf Professional the winners will be announced on 29th November 2021, at a black-tie ceremony, at Grosvenor House London on Park Lane.
I’m so excited about what the future holds and how the collection will be received once it is unveiled. Fingers crossed for a win!
